Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a field-based Account Manager to join our State, Local, & EDU (SLED) team. You will manage named accounts, drive sales for new and existing revenue, and establish Proofpoint as a trusted IT security advisor within public sector organizations.

The role requires a strong network, knowledge of cyber security, and the ability to work autonomously with a high-energy, competitive mindset. Seattle-based territory with regional leadership oversight.

Qualifications

• Meet or exceed annual sales quota for new revenue and existing bookings as defined by management.
• Grow relationships with decision-makers and expand solution adoption across client relationships.
• Develop and execute regional marketing/channel plan for end users, channel partners, and events.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned State, Local, & EDU accounts from prospecting to implementation of solutions.
• Establish Proofpoint as a trusted IT security advisor for Public Sector clients.
• Provide accurate quarterly forecasts and maintain CRM hygiene.
