The North Carolina Department of Public Safety seeks a Food Service Supervisor II (S) at Rockingham YDC in Reidsville, NC. This full-time role manages kitchen staff, ensures food safety and quality, and coordinates meals for the facility’s juveniles under federal and state standards.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining records, and ensuring proper inventory and cost control. A strong background in large-scale food service and adherence to sanitation regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and Experience (E&E) are REQUIRED to qualify for this position.
• Management Preferences may apply for interviewing selected applicants.
• Experience supervising other foodservice staff is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintains high standard of control for quality food productions and service.
• Provides nutritionally adequate meals meeting federal meal patterns and dietary standards, while adhering to planned menus.
• Follows operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and service.
• Requisition food and supplies as needed, check the cost and quality of items received, and ensures proper storage.
• Follows departmental procedure for inventorying food, supplies, and equipment.
