Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is seeking a Food Service Supervisor II (S) for the Department of Public Safety, located at Chatham YDC, Chatham County, NC. Responsibilities include scheduling, staff training, and maintaining records, with a focus on serving court-involved youth and ensuring high-quality meals within a state-run facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics, food management, culinary arts, or hospitality management; OR GED with four years' supervisory foodservice experience.
• Experience supervising other foodservice staff.
• Knowledge of school nutrition program standards and large-volume food production.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high control standards for quality food production and service.
• Provide nutritionally adequate meals meeting federal meal patterns and dietary standards.
• Schedule staff and conduct annual performance reviews; recommend disciplinary actions when needed.
• Provide on-the-job training and supervise kitchen operations.
