The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is seeking a Food Service Supervisor II to oversee the Rockingham YDC kitchen, ensuring quality meals and adherence to state and federal standards. This role requires managing staff, inventory, and training to support juvenile nutrition programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics, food management, culinary arts, or hospitality management from an accredited institution.
• High school diploma or GED plus four years supervisory experience in food preparation for large groups.
• Knowledge of cooking times and temperatures for food.

Responsabilités

• Maintains high standard of control for quality food productions and service.
• Provides nutritionally adequate meals meeting Federal Child Nutrition Program meal patterns and dietary standards.
• Follows operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and service.
• Requisitions food and supplies, checks cost and quality, and ensures proper storage.
• Inventories food, supplies, and equipment in compliance with federal/state regulations.
• Ensures health, safety, and sanitation standards for juveniles' food service environment.
• Provides on-the-job training in equipment use and food production quality, and state sanitation regulations.
• Creates schedules for department staff and conducts annual performance reviews.
• Runs foodservice staff meetings and trainings at the facility.
