Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food management, culinary arts, or hospitality management.
• Four years of supervisory experience in the preparation and serving of food in quantity.
• Eligibility to work in state service with complete application materials.

Aufgaben

• Maintains high standard of control for quality food productions and service.
• Provides nutritionally adequate meals meeting Federal Child Nutrition Program meal patterns and dietary standards.
• Follows operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and service.
• Requisition food and supplies as needed, check the cost and quality of items received, and ensures proper storage
• Follows departmental procedure for inventorying food, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintains an environment conducive to protecting the health and well-being of the facility’s juveniles through high levels of food and safety and sanitation standards.
• Ensures that the required records and inventories are in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Provide on-the-job training in equipment use and care, quality of food production and state sanitation regulations.
• Creates schedules for employees in the department, conducts yearly employee performance reviews, recommends disciplinary of employees in the department when needed.
• Conducts foodservice staff meetings and trainings at the facility.
• Provide direct supervision to kitchen staff
