Job summary

County of Hancock, Indiana is seeking a Public Safety Systems Program Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and maintenance of public safety communications infrastructure across police, fire, EMS, and other agencies in Hancock County.

The role serves as primary liaison between Hancock County 911, County IT, vendors, and partner organizations, ensuring system reliability, interoperability, and 24/7 on-call readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications

• US citizen and 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with public safety communications technology preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD, RMS, radio and interoperability systems.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and public safety agencies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison for County IT, IPSC, DPSC and partner agencies.
• Manage and maintain public safety radio communications systems and related infrastructure.
• Support operational readiness and maintenance of mission-critical systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and public safety agencies on interoperability and projects.
• Provide advisory or operational support for systems serving Hancock County.
