Job summary

Hamilton County, Ohio is seeking a dedicated IT professional to oversee NG911 system operations, perform health checks, and troubleshoot critical applications. The role includes evaluating hardware/software options, implementing system upgrades, and coordinating with county IT teams and external agencies to ensure reliable 911 services.

Minimum qualifications include undergraduate CS coursework and PM experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of undergraduate core coursework for a degree in computer science/programming, systems design or system analysis.
• 6 months experience in project/program management.
• 3 courses in supervision (or 3 months experience).
• Or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains daily operations of the NG911 system and other emergency platforms; troubleshoots issues and documents resolutions.
• Assists with evaluation, procurement, and deployment of hardware, software, and network solutions for 911 operations; collaborates with vendors.
• Supports system implementation efforts including installation, configuration, testing, and go-live activities; documents procedures and metrics.
• Collaborates with internal staff and external agencies to support integration and alignment; participates in planning discussions to share insights.
• Ensures compliance with regulations; maintains security, access controls, and audit requirements; identifies risks and coordinates corrective actions.
• Maintains system documentation, records of updates and maintenance; supports ongoing performance monitoring and lifecycle planning.
• Maintains regular attendance and delivers professional customer service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
