Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development for the Public Power market. This hybrid role focuses on direct sales of Osmose services and coordinating with Corporate Development and Product Management when team selling is required.

The ideal candidate will be located in North Carolina or Virginia, travel about 50% of the time, and lead account plans, forecasts, and relationship building with utility executives to grow market share and profits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum five (5) years’ experience in consultative sales.
• Utility operations/management experience a plus.
• MBA preferred.
• Leadership and self-motivational qualities.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving history.
• Willingness to travel overnight; travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and conduct sales calls and presentations to established and prospects.
• Create sales plans to ensure market coverage and appropriate contact frequency.
• Coordinate sales activity with General Managers-Operations.
• Advise Contracts team on proposals and price recommendations.
• Work with Operations to align crew availability with schedules and expectations.
• Develop annual sales forecasts and maintain accuracy.
• Maintain customer and contact records in company systems.
• Participate in sales and product training and self-development.
• Contribute to other projects to meet financial objectives.
