Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development for the Public Power market. The role focuses on direct sales, strategic planning, and coordinating with corporate teams to expand market share while upholding brand image.

The position is hybrid and regionally aligned to support the customer base, with a preference for candidates located in North Carolina or Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in consultative sales.
• MBA preferred.
• Leadership and self-motivation required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Experience in utility operations/management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and conduct sales calls and presentations for all Osmose services and products.
• Create relationships with contacts inside each utility at various levels including senior executives.
• Create sales plans and schedules to ensure market coverage.
• Coordinate sales activity with General Managers-Operations as needed.
• Advise Contracts on proposals and price recommendations.
• Work with Operations to align crew availability with project schedules.
• Produce annual sales forecast and maintain accuracy.
• Maintain customer data in company systems.
• Develop and implement annual plans for personal growth and training.
• Contribute to projects to minimize bureaucracy and achieve financial goals.
