Job summary

The City of Boca Raton is seeking a P/C Network Technician to provide frontline IT support, respond to helpdesk tickets, and maintain classroom and city systems. This role reports to the Operations Manager and requires hands-on experience with Windows OS and Office 365, plus strong written and verbal communication.

You will install software, perform password resets, assist with backups, and help ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• One year of work experience supporting Windows operating systems.
• One year of enterprise end-user support experience or combined experience.
• State of Florida Class “E” driver’s license.
• Certifications in CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to helpdesk requests for computer hardware and printing problems.
• Installs or configures software for computers and laptops.
• Performs password resets and software upgrades on City computers.
• Disseminates documentation to assist users and maintains uptime.
