Job summary

Hialeahfl City Hall information systems team seeks an Information Systems Technician to perform computer repairs and upgrades and provide user support. Responsibilities include assisting with LAN/WAN, network topology, and technology provisioning under CIO guidance.

Candidates should have at least two years in IT, experience with Windows desktop and server, TCP/IP, Office, and hardware peripherals; college credit acceptable in lieu of experience; background check required.

Qualifications

• Two years paid IT-related work experience, including three of six areas listed.
• Experience with PC repairs, Windows desktop/server, and TCP/IP.
• College coursework 1 year may substitute for one year of experience.
• Pass FDLE fingerprint background check and periodic training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone, email, remote and in person.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot OS, hardware, and peripherals.
• Assist IT team with LAN/WAN support and network topology tasks.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software and support disaster recovery.
