Job summary

The State of Missouri's Family Support Division seeks a Benefit Program Technician in the Lafayette County Customer Service Center in Lexington, MO. You will determine initial and continuing eligibility for food, medical, financial, and nutritional assistance, and guide applicants through the benefits process.

You will interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries, and support the daily operations of the service center while maintaining compassion and a non-judgmental attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; four years of customer service experience OR a Bachelor's Degree.
• Interview clients in person and by telephone to determine eligibility for services.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial and continuing eligibility for food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance.
