Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or equivalent.
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) per IDFPR or board eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care. Adjusts the treatment based on patient response and available evidence after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy (CTSCP67).
• Completes annual education as assigned to comply with program requirements.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT and provides therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrotherapy, and aquatic therapy.
