Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement the plan of care under a physical therapist. This role treats patients of all ages and serves as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, following the plan of care, documenting in the EMR, and performing therapy interventions such as gait/balance training, aquatic therapy, and electrical stimulation therapy.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Field of Study: Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois with IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days - AHA.
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on the next available exam date; complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 daily note policy.
• If applicable, completes annual education for DNV Hip & Knee Replacement Program.
