Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is recruiting a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support Rehab Services in Harrison, AR. You will implement PT treatment plans under supervision, document progress, and communicate effectively with the supervising PT.

You’ll also assist with setup, gait training, and safe patient handling. The role requires an APTA-approved PTA program and Arkansas PTA licensure, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Must have Arkansas PTA license.
• BLS certification required.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas; transport patients safely; follow plan of care and sequence.
• Administer modalities and therapeutic exercises; reinforce correct technique and equipment use.
• Monitor and document patient responses; report outcomes to the PT and suggest progression.
• Fit orthotics/prosthetics; measure for canes/crutches; provide gait training per PT direction.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safe body mechanics and lifting procedures.
