Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is actively seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Little Rock, AR team on a PRN basis. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide therapy services to patients aiming to develop, recover, and maintain mobility and function.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, documenting responses, educating patients and families, and assisting with discharge planning and equipment guidance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Graduate of a program in discipline required.
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in KY.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Monitors patient’s responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
• Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding adaptive equipment and community support programs.
