Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) in Harrison, AR is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join Rehab Services. You will implement components of PT treatment plans under a supervising PT, document patient progress, and participate in gait training and patient education.

The role requires an Associate’s degree from an APTA-approved PTA program, Arkansas PTA license, and BLS certification. Prior PTA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate PTA degree from an APTA-approved program.
• Arkansas PTA license and BLS certification.
• English proficiency; commitment to ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas; transport patients safely; follow the plan of care.
• Administer modalities and therapeutic exercises; reinforce technique and equipment use.
• Monitor and document patient responses; report outcomes to the PT; suggest progression.
• Fit orthotics/prosthetics and measure for canes/crutches; provide gait training per PT direction.
• Maintain accurate charges and documentation; ensure safe body mechanics and equipment use.
