Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the interdisciplinary team and provide restorative care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will support participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and functional gains.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Rehab team, scheduling responsibilities, and detailed documentation to ensure high-quality care while maintaining work-life balance.

Qualifications

• PTA associate’s degree from an accredited program.
• Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
• PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with other Rehabilitation team members to implement activities based on individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
• Document physical therapy interventions in accordance with care plans (e.g., active/passive exercise, gait, ADLs, and modalities).
