Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the interdisciplinary team and provide restorative and rehabilitative services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

You will administer treatment programs, assist with exams, coordinate with the Rehabilitation team, handle scheduling and billing, and document interventions; compensation includes base pay plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• PTA associate’s degree from an accredited program.
• Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
• PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants’ individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
• Document physical therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and treatments (e.g., massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity)
