Job summary

WelbeHealth in Stockton, CA is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides restorative and rehabilitative services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence and safety.

This role offers lower patient volumes, longer relationships with participants, collaboration with the Rehabilitation team, and a balanced schedule with no after-hours documentation.

Qualifications

• PTA associate’s degree from an accredited program.
• Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
• PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with other Rehabilitation team members to implement activities and programs based on individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
• Document physical therapy interventions per care plans (e.g., active and passive exercise, gait training, ADLs, modalities).
