Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the IDT and provide restorative and rehabilitative care to participants at the center and in their homes under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

You will administer treatment programs, measure vital signs and ROM, coordinate with the Rehabilitation team, and help schedule treatments and document interventions. The role emphasizes quality patient relationships and a balanced workload.

Qualifications

• PTA associate’s degree from an accredited program.
• Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
• PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with other Rehabilitation team members to implement activities and programs based on individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
• Document physical therapy interventions in care plans, including active and passive exercise, gait and functional training.
