Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for home care services. The role involves delivering treatment, education, and exercise instruction under the plan of care, in diverse home settings.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient well-being and outcomes. Candidates must be licensed as a PTA, have reliable transportation, and be available for weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and act under supervision of PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to PT, nurse, or physician.
