Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, a member of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for home care. You will implement treatment plans and provide exercise instruction and patient education to improve well-being under the supervising PT.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with active and passive exercises, and coordinating care with the healthcare team. Weekend rotation availability is required, and drivers license is needed.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy.
• Driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the supervising PT's plan of care; perform only qualified procedures.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and transfer training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment to the supervising PT/nurse/physician.
• Educates patient, family, and health team on therapy within scope.
• Functions in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or disability.
