Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education under a supervising Physical Therapist in a home care setting.

The role requires adherence to state laws, driving to patient homes, and the ability to work a weekend rotation. A current license/registration to assist in physical therapy is required, along with reliable transportation and CPR as a preferred qualification.

Qualifications

• Current State-licensed/registered/certified to assist in physical therapy

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home care PT; perform only allowed procedures; follow plan of care with supervising PT.
• Instructs and assists patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses; coordinate care with health care team.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team on therapy within PT assistant scope.
