Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our care team. The role supports patients in home health settings, delivering treatment and education aligned with the supervising Physical Therapist's plan of care.

The PTA will instruct patients in exercise, assist with mobility, and coordinate with nurses and physicians to ensure optimal outcomes. Must hold an active PT license and CPR certification, and be willing to work weekend rotations in a dynamic care environment.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification required.
• State license or certification as PTA required.
• Must be able to work weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising PT plan of care.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and coordinate with care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy activities within PTA scope.
