Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in the United States is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home care patients under supervision of a PT. You will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the healthcare team to promote patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and collaborate with the supervising PT on the plan of care.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional activities, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
