Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care under a PT supervisor. You will educate patients and families, monitor progress and document in the EMR, supporting gait, balance and therapeutic exercises.

Eligible candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA licensure, BLS certification and board eligibility. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed PTA (IDFPR) to practice.
• BLS certification required; board eligibility for next exam date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers.
• Follows and documents the plan of care with the PT.
• Performs therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and electrotherapy as prescribed.
• Completes daily documentation in the therapy EMR.
• Coordinates with PT and referring providers on patient progress.
