Job summary

Planet Fitness in Reading, PA is seeking a part-time team member to deliver exceptional customer service and support to members and guests. The role includes greeting members, processing sign-ups, and promoting fitness classes.

The position offers a starting pay of $11 per hour with scheduled shifts on weekends and evenings. Hourly increases occur at defined anniversaries with a supportive work environment and benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospects, and guests.
• Answer phones politely using the information script.
• Greet and sign up new members; tour and log amenities.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the POS system.
• Promote fitness instruction classes to members and guests.
• Keep the club environment clean, sanitized, and safe.

Part‑time starting at $11 per hour. Schedule: Saturday 11AM-7PM; Sunday 3PM-7PM; Monday 5PM-10PM; Tuesday 5PM-10PM.

Hourly increases at 180 days, 1 year, and every 6 months after the first year, based on anniversary date.

Responsibilities

• Provide a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement‑Free member experience.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script.
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point‑of‑sale system.
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and new members.
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift.
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during shift.
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
