Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Specialty Representative to cover the Winston-Salem, NC area. This field-based role requires proximity to the primary city and involves executing brand strategy, managing territory, and building strong relationships with healthcare providers to maximize patient access and brand performance.

You will proactively address customer needs, develop call plans, and differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition while navigating a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field; relevant experience acceptable.
• Five years of industry experience with at least three in pharma/health/science preferred; high school diploma acceptable.
• Proven leadership and strong presentation skills; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
• Ability to identify customer style and adapt selling approach; works well in a matrix environment.
• Preferred: sales performance in respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.
• HCIR credentialing and valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives to meet or exceed.
• Create pre-call plan objectives and post-call evaluation to improve sales; handle objections.
• Develop and execute a call plan to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Build understanding of customer needs and market landscape; share intelligence with in-field team.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition and identify disease state experts to maximize brand performance.
