Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with clinical scheduling software such as Flowcast is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex secretarial and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment supporting clinical, educational, and academic programs.
  • Manages providers' time, calendar, and referrals to optimize provider-patient scheduling and care coordination.
  • Prepares letters, documents, and correspondence related to appeals and prior authorizations.
  • Assembles details from multiple tabs in the EMR for disability paperwork and pre/post-operative contacts.
  • Organizes travel, registrations, and acts as main contact for patients pre/post-operative.
