Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Practice Performance Manager to lead provider performance initiatives and drive quality improvements for Medicare Advantage members. You will work directly with care providers, educate teams, and report on progress across Stars measures and HEDIS, while coordinating resources for education and coaching.

You will travel up to 75% locally to meet providers, implement incentive programs, and develop strategy to maximize STAR ratings and overall care quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare industry experience.
• 1+ year of STARs experience.
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
• Live within or in close proximity to territory (Ft. Myers, FL)

Responsibilities

• Manage provider performance using designated metrics (e.g., 4 STAR gap closure, coding accuracy).
• Build relationships with care providers and deliver education and reporting.
• Travel across assigned territory to discuss UHG tools and programs for Medicare Advantage members.
• Execute provider incentive programs for the health plan.
• Develop provider-specific plans to improve HEDIS performance and outcomes.
• Provide training on Stars measures, Optum tools, and plan systems.
• Lead Stars-focused meetings and coordinate with internal resources for education and consultation.
• Report progress to health plan leadership on performance, gaps, and resource use.
• Collaborate with market leads on plan-sponsored initiatives to close gaps.
• Contribute to department campaigns to improve quality measures and STAR ratings.
