Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Credential Coordinator to manage the provider credentialing workflow for initial appointments and reappointments. This role interfaces with operational leadership, medical staff offices, and providers to reduce administrative barriers and delays.

The position ensures data accuracy, timely submissions, and effective communication across departments using the appropriate tracking systems. Strong attention to detail and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Less than 1 Year of Experience.

Responsibilities

• Credentialing for initial appointments and reappointments.
• Act as liaison between department, medical staff office, and provider.
• Ongoing monitoring of provider applications to meet turnaround times using database tracking systems.
• Request missing or incomplete information as necessary.
• Respond to provider, department, and medical staff office inquiries.
• Communicate processing questions with credentialing contacts and leadership as required.
• Notify parties of expiring appointments and ensure timely submissions.
• Send status and reminder communications to practitioner and department.
