Qualifications

  • Education: HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience.
  • Certification: CPMSM or CPCS preferred; eligible within 1 year of hire.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Medical Staff Services activities to help the Medical Staff follow Bylaws, Rules, JCAHO standards, and other accreditation/licensing agencies.
  • Diligently monitor credentialing to ensure compliance with bylaws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with Medical Staff, hospital staff, and external contacts.
  • Attend Credentials Committee and Executive Committee meetings and record minutes.
  • Develop, plan, and implement credentialing/privileging processes.
  • Track clinical privileges and help develop privilege criteria.
  • Monitor the focused professional practice evaluation process for new staff and privileges.
  • Ensure renewal documents are reviewed and managed monthly.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement activities.
  • Maintain confidential credentials files and EMR database; handle staff correspondence.
  • Serve as liaison between staff and management; train and mentor staff.
