Job summary

Mach Industries is seeking a Build Engineer in Huntington Beach, California to own the transformation of products from new designs to reality. You will collaborate with Product Engineering and Manufacturing to build first articles, enable rapid design iteration, and capture lessons that shape production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
• 1+ years in production manufacturing, process engineering, or industrialization.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and process capability.
• Hands‑on experience with shop floor processes (machining, welding, composites, additive manufacturing, assembly, test).
• Willingness to be on the floor daily, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with technicians.

Responsibilities

• Act as the engineering owner for prototype builds across multiple products.
• Translate design intent into practical build steps, processes, and checklists for technicians.
• Debug and resolve design/manufacturability issues directly with design engineers.
• Actively participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability of design concepts.
• Capture lessons learned and feed them back into the design and production system.
• Source and coordinate quick‑turn parts and prototype tooling.
• Partner with technicians to train, enforce standard work, and improve safety/ergonomics.
