Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a New Grad Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and iterate on mechanical and electromechanical systems for next‑gen defense platforms.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to move concepts from CAD concepts to manufacturable hardware, including testing, validation, and optimizing for performance and scalability; occasional extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in mechanical engineering designing and prototyping mechanical systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or related
• Graduating with a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD by December 2026 or January 2027

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design and development of subsystem hardware from CAD concepts to prototypes and mass production
• Integrate mechanical systems with sensors, actuators, and embedded control hardware
• Lead hands-on testing, validation, and iterative hardware improvements
• Drive manufacturability, part selection, and tolerance stack-up for scalable production
• Apply mechanical fundamentals to inform robust, lightweight designs
• Contribute to test plans, documentation, and reviews
• Perform modeling and simulation to evaluate performance and inform decisions
• Support critical milestones including extended hours or weekends
