Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype and iterate on mechanical and electromechanical systems that support next-generation defense platforms. Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience designing and prototyping mechanical systems (professional, hobby or academic).
• Strong 3D modeling in CAD tools with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on end-to-end hardware development experience (e.g., FSAE, DBF, Rocket Team).

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design and development of subsystem-level hardware from concept to production.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings for fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Support hands-on testing from vehicle qualification to design validation and iteration.
• Drive manufacturability and tolerance stack-up decisions (GD&T) for scalable production.
• Apply structural, thermal and materials fundamentals to inform lightweight designs.
• Design fixtures and tooling for manufacturing, assembly, inspection and test.
• Author tests plans, technical documentation, and engineering milestones.
• Appear for extended hours and weekends as needed to meet milestones.
