Siemens Healthineers is hiring a Proton Therapy Field Service Engineer to maintain and support the Proton Therapy System at on-site locations, with responsibilities spanning safety, maintenance, and customer liaison. The role requires travel, credentialing, and rigorous training to stay compliant with FDA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of relevant high-tech industry experience
• Ability to work at heights above 20 feet and in cramped spaces
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) with a customer-focused attitude
• Ability to troubleshoot using technical drawings and root-cause methodologies
• Proficient with mechanical tools: torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, drills; electrical tools: DMM, oscilloscope; soldering

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional knowledge and safety per Varian/SHS guidelines
• Provide visible customer support and assist operation of the system
• Liaise with the customer on technical/administrative matters
• Perform on-site quality checks and planned maintenance
• Provide accurate field service reports
• Complete required service bulletins and upgrades on time
• Meet FDA compliance through required training and certifications
• Use internal software (Office, SAP, Salesforce, Siemens PLC GUI, Varian tools)
• Support other field service roles as needed
• Meet vendor credentialing requirements for client site access
