Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain responsibility for the Proton Therapy System at customer sites, delivering on-site operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and clinical support.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical skills, robotics understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff. Responsibilities include system testing, calibration, diagnostics, and reporting; travel may be domestic or international.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred
• 4-6+ years of technical experience in the Military or equivalent (electronics technicians, mechanics, etc.)
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment is a plus
• Experience with dosimetry hardware & software is a plus
• Strong interest in new technology and continuous learning

Responsibilities

• Operate Proton Therapy System including troubleshooting and post-service testing
• Provide on-site customer support and maintenance for proton therapy equipment
• Communicate system status to customer and Mevion staff
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Meet performance indicators such as uptime and customer satisfaction
• Travel domestically and internationally as required
