Job summary

Symmetrio is seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer to support proton therapy systems and related clinical equipment at customer sites. The role demands a strong technical background and customer-facing service in a fast-paced environment.

The position is based in Stamford, CT, offering $40–$42 per hour plus competitive benefits. Travel domestically and internationally may be required; extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field, or 4–6+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment, proton therapy systems, medical physics, or dosimetry preferred.
• Strong electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills on complex equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, test, and maintain proton therapy systems at customer sites.
• Provide on-site technical support, preventive and corrective maintenance, and post-service testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and control system issues to restore performance.
• Document service interventions and equipment issues in compliance with FDA and quality requirements.
• Maintain service tools, spare parts, and inventory for field support.
