Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a field service technician to perform predefined tasks and support customer equipment on-site. You will operate under VMS guidelines, perform safety checks, and produce detailed field service reports.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree or 2 years in high-tech settings, fluent English, and a customer-focused mindset. You will handle maintenance, basic diagnostics, and coordination with vendors while traveling up to 30% and maintaining FDA

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technologies or 2 years of prior applicable experience in military or high tech industry.
• Must be able to occasionally work at heights above 20 feet or in cramped spaces.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Must have a customer focused attitude.
• Ability to troubleshoot using technical drawings and root cause methodologies.
• Knowledge of basic tooling: torque wrenches, gauges, levels, calipers, micrometers, drills, etc.
• Knowledge of electrical testing tools: DMM, oscilloscopes, soldering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and safety consciousness per VMS guidelines.
• Provide visible customer support and assist operation of the system.
• Serve as liaison with customer on technical/administrative matters.
• Perform operational quality checks and planned maintenance.
• Provide accurate, detailed field service reports.
• Complete service bulletins and upgrades promptly.
• Complete training and certifications to maintain FDA compliance.
• Use internal software such as Office, SAP, Salesforce, Siemens PLC GUI, and Varian Treatment Control applications.
• Support other field service roles as needed.
• Meet vendor credentialing requirements for client site access.
