Flagship Pioneering's FL116 team seeks a Research Associate II to expand protein production across bulk and high‑throughput scales. You will execute scalable expression, purification, normalization, and characterization workflows feeding rapid design–build–test cycles and collaborate across protein engineering, chemistry, and assay development teams.

The role requires hands‑on recombinant protein production experience, purification engineering in UNICORN, and a strong focus on traceable records.

Qualifications

• BS in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotech, or related field with 1–4 years’ experience or MS with 0–2 years in industry.
• Hands‑on recombinant protein expression in E. coli and multi‑liter culture growth.
• Experience operating ÄKTA FPLC and designing purification methods in UNICORN.

Responsabilités

• Execute bulk expression campaigns from transformation to harvest and lysis.
• Design and run preparative purification on ÄKTA FPLC using UNICORN.
• Deliver milligram‑to‑gram quantities of pure protein and troubleshoot protocols.
• Perform high‑throughput production and analytics across large sample sets.
