Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Test Engineer II to execute relay protection testing and commissioning tasks under supervision. You will work with platforms like Doble, Omicron, RTS, SEL AcSELerator, GE Enervista, and more, documenting results accurately.

This role bridges entry-level execution and independent system-level testing, with a focus on protection testing, drawing navigation, and safe work practices across distribution and transmission substations up to 765kV.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years in high-voltage protection & control testing and commissioning.
• Familiarity with relays from SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse.
• OSHA 30 and NERC CIP familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks under supervision using specified platforms.
• Document results, perform tests, and maintain records and reports.
• Read one-lines, schematics, and panel layouts for standard configurations.
• Support commissioning and turnover documentation with Senior/Lead engineers.
