Job summary

POWERX Co in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Test Engineer II to execute commissioning and protection testing under supervision and grow toward independent system-level expertise. You will work with relay protection systems, breaker controls, and substation equipment testing across distribution and transmission bounds.

You will develop test plans, study protection theory, and document results for handover packets while advancing toward senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of high-voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with relay platforms such as SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in related electrical fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks with various platforms under supervision.
• Perform CT/VT testing, breaker control testing, and wiring diagram navigation.
• Document results, maintain test records, and support turnover documentation.
