Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Test Engineer II to advance from component tasks to system-level protection testing. You will execute relay protection tests, verify breakers, CT/VT circuits, and document results under Senior guidance.

Developing expertise via POWERX Academy and contributing to commissioning across distribution and transmission substations up to 765kV. Travel and outage work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with relay protection testing and substation commissioning.
• Familiarity with SEL/GE/ABB/Siemens relays.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks under Senior or Lead oversight.
• Review drawing packages prior to testing and identify questions.
• Maintain complete test records, redlines, and daily reports.
• Support turnover documentation and commissioning package preparation.
