Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Test Engineer II to advance from component tasks to system-level protection testing. You will execute relay protection tests, CT/VT testing, and breaker control tests under senior oversight across distribution and transmission substations up to 765kV.

You will study protection theory, navigate drawings, and maintain detailed test records, supporting commissioning packages and client requirements while developing toward a Senior level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in high-voltage protection and control testing preferred.
• Familiarity with relay platforms (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens) desired.
• Must maintain accurate test records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks using specified platforms.
• Perform CT/VT testing and breaker control circuit testing.
• Read one-lines, three-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams with guidance.
• Document results and support turnover documentation.
