Job summary

POWERX in the United States is seeking a developing P&C Test Engineer II to execute relay protection testing and commissioning tasks under supervision. You will work across protection systems, breaker controls, CT/VT circuits, and substation equipment to support field projects in distribution and transmission environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in high‑voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Familiar with relay platforms such as SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; knowledge of NEC and OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology, or an Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks using multiple platform tools under Senior oversight.
• Read and navigate single-line and ladder diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
• Support commissioning projects for protective relays, protection schemes, and substation equipment testing.
• Prepare turnover documentation and commissioning packages with complete test records.
