Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Test Engineer II to execute commissioning and protection testing for substations and transmission projects. You will work under Senior or Lead Engineers to develop system‑level understanding and gain independent QA skills on protection schemes.

The role emphasizes documenting results, reviewing drawings, and adhering to NETA standards while advancing toward Senior level through POWERX Academy training and practical field experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in high‑voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Familiar with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse, or equivalent relay platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related electrical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks on assigned projects using supported platforms.
• Read and navigate one‑lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams with guidance.
• Maintain complete and accurate test records, redlines, and field reports.
• Support turnover documentation and commissioning packages for project closeout.
