Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Electrical/Power Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to commit to a 12-week summer internship (full-time 40 h/wk).
• Located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; no relocation support.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• On-site requirement may vary by team placement.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Protection & Automation (PPA) teams to support engineering, proposals, and post-delivery activities.
• Assist with configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of protection relays, RTUs, and HMIs.
• Use digital twin tech to simulate signals and support microgrid/renewables projects.
• Support FATs and lab testing and learn Siemens equipment (switchgear, MCCs, transformers).
