Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC invites applicants to join the Power Protection and Automation Engineering Development Program (PA EDP) starting January 4, 2027. This one-year program places you on Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation, with two six‑month rotations in Protection and Automation and extensive field exposure across the United States.

You’ll gain practical experience with protection relays, RTUs, HMIs, and substation networks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a bachelor's or master's in Electrical/Power/Computer/Energy Systems Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to Wendell, NC if required.

Responsibilities

• Complete two six‑month rotations in Protection and Automation with hands-on field rotations across the U.S.
• Gain exposure to protection relays, RTUs, HMIs, and substation systems.
• Design and implement power protection and automation solutions.
• Transition into Solutions Engineering after program completion and support future cohorts.
