Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Whittier, CA is seeking a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist Clinician (CPO/CO, Board Eligible) to evaluate, design, and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices across a diverse patient population. Candidates must hold ABC/BOC certification or be Board Eligible; a relevant Baccalaureate degree is required, with licensure considerations per state.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics (ABC/BOC) or Board-Eligible.
• Baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or equivalent, with eligibility.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting policy requirements.
• State licensure may be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient needs for prosthetic/orthotic services and recommend treatment options.
• Evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss; design prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Perform fitting, static and dynamic alignments, and ensure proper device performance.
• Maintain detailed clinical notes and contribute to patient records.
• Provide mentorship to residents or newly certified clinicians.
